History
First passed in 1897, the Bottled-in-Bond Act is a crucial piece of quality control that defines the American whiskey industry. For a bourbon to be labeled 'bonded' or 'bottled-in-bond,' it must adhere to strict federal legislation: the whiskey must be aged in a United States federally bonded barrelhouse for a minimum of four years, bottled at exactly 100 proof, and be the product of one distillery and one distilling season. Continuing the success of the initial Bulleit Bottled-in-Bond release in February of 2025, this second batch hails from the 2018 Fall distillation season. This release represents a significant milestone for Bulleit Frontier Whiskey, as it is distilled, aged, and bottled entirely at the state-of-the-art Bulleit Distilling Co. in Shelbyville, Kentucky, honoring a legacy of craftsmanship that dates back to the 19th century.
