Although the House of Courvoisier was founded in 1835—14 years after Napoleon's death—the connection endures through history, as Napoleon III officially named Courvoisier the supplier to the Imperial Court in 1869, solidifying its legacy as the “Cognac of Napoleon.

This prestigious expression is a blend of eaux-de-vie from both Grande and Petite Champagne, the two finest crus of the Cognac region. These terroirs, known collectively as Fine Champagne, are prized for their chalky soils and ability to produce elegant, long-aging Cognacs. The Courvoisier Napoleon is aged for up to 20 years, allowing for a rich development of depth and complexity.
