The 2024 Cuvée Alexandre Carmenère is blended with 10% Syrah and 5% Petit Verdot, providing a welcome dose of posture and structure to an otherwise rich expression of the variety. A powerful bouquet of dried herbs, dark fruits and bittersweet chocolate introduces a velvety, contained mouthfeel and a harmonious finish that lingers with dusty tannins.
Lively and fruit-driven in style, with paprika accents to the ripe black cherry and plum core, plus mineral twinges that fold in on the finish. Drink now. 4,500 cases made, 1,200 cases imported.
Tasting Notes
Lapostolle Cuvée Alexandre Carmenére boasts a complex nose with red and black fruit, spice, herbal, and vanilla aromas. Bright and vivid, it is harvested late in the season, producing a medium structure with juicy, round tannins.
