New Liberty Bloody Butcher Bourbon celebrates American agricultural heritage — made with heirloom Bloody Butcher corn, an instantly recognizable variety with deep red kernels and a fruity, buttery flavor, sourced from Castle Valley Mill in Doylestown, PA, and combined with malted rye and barley from Deer Creek Malthouse in Chester County, PA.
Bloody Butcher corn dates to early 1800s European settlers blending their corn with a native variety. Unsuited to industrial-scale farming, it is grown by only a few farmers today. The corn, barley, and rye blend gives the bourbon a balanced, complex character unlike most bourbons — round, soft, and savory.
