St George Breaking and Entering American Whiskey (750 ml)

Find creamy vanilla, toffee, orange peel, chocolate brownies, and spearmint on the nose. The palate is redolent of Christmas cookies with orange zest and baking spices, as well as spicy oak, and chocolate malt balls. A short finish then highlights peanuts and cacao nibs. Fairly rich all the way through, showing lots of interplay between citrus and vanillins.

Released by St. George Spirits in California, Breaking & Entering is the label used for its sourced whiskey line. Like the bourbon which preceded this bottling, this American whiskey was blended by St. George's master distiller, Lance Winters, and head distiller/blender Dave Smith. Straight bourbons from Kentucky & Tennessee as well as straight rye from Tennessee were used in the blend. Additionally, malt whiskey distilled at St. George Spirits (aged in used and new barrels, so not a straight whiskey) is also included. This whiskey is bottled at 86 proof. A much wider release is expected for this B & E whiskey than the bourbon, with 29 markets in the US expected to receive beginning fall 2018.
