Triple distilled 100% malt whiskey from Woodford Reserve. Part of Woodford Reserve’s 2013 Master’s Collection release, Classic Malt is made with 100% Malted barley and matured in used bourbon barrels. This was aged in x-bourbon barrels as opposed to virgin oak.
Tasting Notes:
Bright straw gold. Relatively subdued aroma includes grain-store, haystack and dilute cocoa following through to a concentrated yet lean, grassy and acidic profile with breakfast cereal undertones; plenty of vanilla coming through here, with touches of stewed fruit and berries along the way.
